Direct Primary Care is a healthcare model that restores the doctor-patient relationship by removing insurance companies from everyday primary care. Instead of billing insurance for each visit, you pay a simple annual membership fee that covers unlimited access to Dr. Scott and his full range of primary care services.

DPC is a nationwide movement of physicians who have stepped away from the insurance-driven, assembly-line model of medicine in order to practice the way medicine was meant to be practiced — with enough time, enough access, and enough depth to actually help people.

At Wishing Wellness, that means same or next-day appointments, 30–60 minute visits, 24/7 direct access by phone and text, and a doctor who genuinely knows you and your family.

Yes and no. Wishing Wellness shares the concierge experience — you get a doctor who is truly available to you, unhurried appointments, and a deep ongoing relationship.

The key difference is billing. Concierge practices typically still bill insurance, which means they are contractually required to share your health information with those carriers. We do not bill insurance — ever. That means your personal health information stays between you and Dr. Scott, full stop.

We also keep our membership pricing transparent and affordable compared to many traditional concierge practices.

Your annual membership of $2,088 covers comprehensive primary care, including:

A one-time Initial Evaluation fee of $500 is required for all new patients and is billed at the time of scheduling. Testing, specialty supplements, and peptide programs are not included in the membership fee.

You will never navigate the healthcare system alone as a Wishing Wellness patient. If you are hospitalized, you will be seen by a hospitalist — and our team stays in direct communication with them to make sure your care is coordinated and your history and preferences are understood.

For specialist referrals, Dr. Scott communicates directly with the specialist before your visit to outline exactly what is needed and why — helping avoid unnecessary testing, redundant procedures, and the frustrating disconnects that happen when doctors don't talk to each other.

Functional medicine is a personalized, root-cause approach to healthcare. Rather than treating symptoms in isolation, we investigate the underlying systems — genetics, microbiome, micronutrients, hormones, gut health, environment, and lifestyle — to understand why you feel the way you feel.

Many patients come to us after years of being given prescriptions to manage symptoms without anyone ever asking what was causing them. Things like chronic fatigue, thyroid dysfunction, hormone imbalances, digestive issues, food sensitivities, allergies, autoimmune conditions, chronic pain, anxiety, and depression are symptoms — not diagnoses. Functional medicine works to find and address the root.

It may also be used to help patients safely reduce dependence on pharmaceuticals and explore evidence-based natural and lifestyle interventions for chronic health issues.

Our Functional Medicine Program is designed for patients who are ready to go deeper — whether that means investigating a chronic condition that conventional medicine hasn't resolved, optimizing their health and longevity, or making meaningful lifestyle changes with expert guidance.

We only accept patients who are genuinely ready to partner with us. Real healing takes time and consistency, and the program requires a minimum 6-month commitment and a willingness to make meaningful lifestyle changes.

All new patients begin with a one-time Initial Evaluation of $500, billed at the time of scheduling. This 60-minute appointment with Dr. Scott covers your complete health history, lifestyle, nutrition, and goals.

The full 6-month Functional Medicine Program is $5,000 (the $500 evaluation fee is credited toward this if paid upfront). Monthly payment plans are available. Specialty testing and supplements are not included in the program fee.

After completing the program, many patients transition to our Direct Primary Care membership for ongoing continuity of care with Dr. Scott.

We do not bill insurance for our services. This is a deliberate choice — it means we are not obligated to share your health information with any insurance carrier, and it frees us from the documentation burdens that insurance billing imposes on most practices.

If you have health insurance, you can absolutely keep it. It can still be used for hospitalizations, specialist visits, and services outside our office. We'll help coordinate those referrals and make sure your insurance is being used where it's most valuable.

For patients with high-deductible plans or no insurance, we're happy to help you navigate cash pricing for any outside services you need.

Possibly — and it's worth investigating with your HR department or plan administrator. Many patients are able to use Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) funds for their annual membership or for specific services provided through our office.

HSA and FSA rules vary by plan, so we recommend confirming eligibility directly with your benefits provider. We're happy to provide any documentation needed to support your reimbursement request.

DPC members access lab work and imaging at wholesale cost-plus pricing — meaning we pass through our bulk rates with a small administrative fee and no markup beyond that. For most patients, this represents savings of 70–90% compared to hospital or insurance-billed pricing.

We order what is clinically necessary — not what happens to be covered by insurance. This means you get comprehensive, meaningful testing without the bureaucratic filtering that often limits conventional lab panels.

Yes. Direct access to Dr. Scott is one of the core benefits of membership. You can reach him by phone, text, or email — including evenings and weekends. He personally responds to patient messages and takes pride in being reachable when it matters.

Please note that while Dr. Scott is available for urgent guidance after hours, we are not an emergency care facility. In the event of a life-threatening emergency, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.

Office visits are by appointment so you're never kept waiting — but urgent questions never have to wait for a scheduled visit.

We offer a full range of ways to connect with Dr. Scott, depending on what your situation requires:

• Same or next-day acute visits — for established patients with urgent needs
• Phone consultations — for follow-ups, quick questions, and medication management
• Video visits — full telehealth consultations for Nevada and out-of-state patients

Absolutely not. Because we do not bill insurance, we are not required — and will never choose — to share your health information with any insurance carrier, pharmaceutical company, or third party.

Your health history, diagnoses, prescriptions, and personal information stay between you and Dr. Scott. This is one of the most significant benefits of the DPC model — genuine medical privacy that the conventional insurance-based system cannot offer.

Yes — we care for the whole family. Dr. Scott sees patients of all ages, from children to seniors. Family membership discounts are available. We take a whole-child approach to pediatric care, looking at nutrition, environment, development, and lifestyle alongside standard well-child milestones.
