Paddle Boarding SUP Exercise

Had a great time #paddleboarding at Lake Las Vegas.

SUP can provide a good overall workout making use of our balance and strength in order to remain upright and propel ourselves in the water.

Paddling utilizes the arms, back, and shoulders to propel the paddleboard in the water. The core back and abdominal muscles are constantly at work to maintain your balance.

Stand up paddle boarding doesn’t just strengthen the body, it feeds the mind and soul and gives us time in nature.

This was our first time doing SUP on a lake. We’ve done ocean paddle boarding a few times which can be more of a challenge.

Health Coaching at Wishing Wellness

Ren is a trained and certified professional health coach who can help you reach your best health and well-being. She can help you develop a personal wellness plan and inspire and challenge you to go beyond what you would do alone.⁠

What can I expect from my Health Coach?⁠

During the first session, Ren will help you identify your priorities and develop a personal wellness vision, a plan and realistic goals. ⁠

In our basic plan you will have a total of 4 appointments, which can be scheduled weekly, bi-weekly or once a month. We will meet via video or over the telephone. During these sessions, you will review the progress toward your wellness vision and goals, address any barriers and agree on a set of reasonable goals for the following session. ⁠

Typically at the end of your coaching sessions, you can expect to have made significant progress and feel energized and confident that your goals are reachable. ⁠

How much does Health Coaching cost?⁠

The cost of this program is $500. We offer a discount to all currently enrolled Primary Care clients and health coaching is included to all of our functional medicine clients. ⁠

Skin tags are a common growth that occurs on various parts of the body. You might have one or more of these located on these areas of your body:

• Under the breasts
• In the folds of the groin

These are the areas of the body where the skin tends to rub against something such as another body part or fabric.

Skin tags can become irritated from constant rubbing or exposure to moisture. To avoid discomfort from a skin tag, you might place an adhesive bandage over it or consider getting it removed.

Dr. Scott's Dairy Free Creamy Cilantro Sauce

This tastes similar to sauce we’ve had at Venezuelan restaurants, often served over arepas or plantains.

We add this to everything: as a salad dressing, over brown rice or quinoa, with protein, on a sandwich, etc.

Here is Dr. Scott’s dairy free Creamy Cilantro Sauce:

Ingredients

1 can full fat coconut milk

2 cloves of garlic (or more to taste)

1 bunch cilantro

1/2 tsp of salt


Blend all ingredients until smooth (blender or food processor).

Store in fridge for up to 2 weeks

Wishing Wellness Gut Health Kombucha

Kombucha starts out as a sugary tea, which is then fermented with the help of the SCOBY-symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast- which we showed how we made at home in our previous video.


The scoby bacteria and yeast eat most of the sugar in the tea, transforming the tea into a refreshingly fizzy, slightly sour fermented beverage that is relatively low in calories and sugar and food for #guthealth
